DESIGN FAQ’S

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY DESIGN PACKAGE?

Once we receive your brief we match you with your own dedicated and fully qualified designer. They get things going with a phone call to dig deeper into your requirements. We suggest arranging a site visit to get a feel for your space.

During this time, you can chat further, swap ideas and exchange pics of concepts you like. Things then start to take shape with a room layout recommendation and 2D visual from your designer.

Once you're 100% happy with the direction of training space, a final 3D design will be worked up, accompanied by a comprehensive equipment list. As part of your equipment list, your designer can advise on flooring options, lighting, fixtures and accessories.

Our designers recommend products from within the Solid Athletix range or sourced third parties (i.e. a Concept2 Rower) that meet your requirements and your budget. Helping you achieve your perfect room in style.

HOW LONG DOES THE WHOLE THING TAKE?

There are no time restrictions from our point of view. We understand the design process is iterative and can be dictated by external factors such as planning permission or budget approvals. Typically, if you give us the green light, we're done and dusted anywhere between 10-15 working days (including site visit).

I'M IN A RUSH, CAN YOU HELP?

Yes! Send us all the information ASAP so we can get started. It might take a extra push from us but at no extra cost to you.

IS A SITE VISIT MANDATORY?

The short answer - no! Although we would highly recommend it, your designer can get a really good impression if you send floor plans and photos and you are able to describe your space in detail via a Skype call.

However, we can't take responsibility for any unforeseen complications arising from having not seen the space or because inaccurate information was provided.

WHAT INFORMATION DO I NEED TO PROVIDE?

The more information you can provide us with, the better. Our goal is to create the best possible design for your space on specification and on budget.

Your dedicated designer is on hand to provide all the help and support you need – they will make sure to ask all the right questions. Photos of your space and a simple floor plan is a good starting point.

HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH MY DESIGNER DURING THE PROCESS?

After the initial brief and site visit you can connect and easily collaborate with your designer via our instant messenger function.

CAN I ASK FOR CHANGES ONCE I RECEIVE MY DESIGN?

We will do everything possible to accommodate design changes up until the point of delivery. Our in-house manufacturing capability provides lots of scope for making changes.

DO YOU HELP WITH FLOORING?

Yes! Flooring is an integral part of any training space and one of the first things to discuss during initial discussions. We can advise on flooring options that protect your under-flooring and equipment, reduce noise and look good.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND ARCHITECTS, LAWYERS OR TRADESMAN FOR OUR PROJECT?

Send us a note at info@solidathletix.com and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

CAN THE DESIGNER SUGGEST CUSTOM-MADE, BESPOKE ITEMS FOR OUR GYM?

No problem. Customisation is such a great way to separate your training space from the crowd. Our in-house manufacturing capability means that almost any design is a possibility.
